Sphinx Virtuosi in Residence at Columbia: October 12-17, 2015

The Sphinx Virtuosi, a renowned chamber orchestra of African American and Latino classical soloists, will be in residence at Columbia University during the week of October 12, 2015.  The Sphinx organization has been tremendously successful over the last 15 years at nurturing and highlighting African American and Latino classical string players.

The week of October 12 will include a number of exciting events both on and off campus sponsored by the Columbia University Office of the Vice Provost for Faculty Diversity and Inclusion.  Co-sponsors include the Columbia University Office of University Life, Columbia University Office of Government and Community Affairs, CUMC Office of the Sr. Vice President for Faculty Affairs and Career Development, New York-Presbyterian Hospital, Columbia University Department of Music, Columbia University School of the Arts (including the Arts Initiative), and our numerous partners across the university devoted to nurturing diversity in higher education and beyond.
